It’s inspiring to see the international outcry following the murder and rape of the 23 year old student in India this month. Hopefully this will kick start ongoing conversations and actions, as to how we can best rid our communities from this violence that daily destroys the lives of many women around the world. Unfortunately too many men get away with this shit, and wonder through life as if nothing happened and justice once again goes unserved.

This brings me to this awesome fuckin movie I recently watched called “The Bandit Queen.” It tells the true story of Phoolan Devi, a lower caste woman in India, who after being gang raped, joined gang of bandits and laid siege on her rapists, but also redistributed the wealth she pillaged to poor folks she encountered. Watch it!
